“Tarry Here — It’s Still Coming”
Scripture:
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:7 (KJV)
DEVOTION:
Sometimes we think peace only comes when everything calms down — when the bills are paid, the healing has come, or the storm is over. But the peace of God is different. It’s not the product of a pressure-free life. It’s the evidence of His presence even when the pressure is heavy.
God’s peace shows up in hospital rooms, in midnight prayers, in moments where everything should be falling apart — but somehow, you’re still standing. That kind of peace doesn’t make sense to the world because it surpasses understanding. It’s not a peace you create — it’s one you receive.
The pressure may not lift right away, but His peace will hold you steady. Don’t wait for the chaos to end to embrace His presence. Invite Him into it. Let peace be your portion — not because the storm is over, but because the Savior is near.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for being with me in every moment — even in the middle of pressure. Let Your peace guard my heart and my mind. Teach me to trust You more than what surrounds me. Amen.
