Assigned to This Month
Scripture:
“See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil.” — Deuteronomy 30:15 (KJV)
DEVOTION:
This isn’t just a new month — it’s a divine appointment. August didn’t sneak up on you; it was sent to you. Assigned by God, this month carries fresh instructions, open doors, divine timing, and a renewed chance to walk in purpose.
Deuteronomy 30:15 reminds us that every day we are presented with choices — life or death, good or evil, purpose or passivity. God sets the table, but it’s up to us to walk boldly into what He’s offering. If He allowed you to cross into August, He’s also equipped you to conquer it.
There may still be battles, but you’ve been graced for the assignment. The same God who brought you through July is the same God who goes before you in August — making ways, releasing strategies, and ordering your steps.
So don’t just coast through this month. Claim it. Command it. Consecrate it. August is not random — it’s revelation.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for assigning me to this new month. Let me walk in divine clarity and courage. Help me to choose life, embrace purpose, and move with bold faith through every door You open. Amen.
