Made in the Waiting

“But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” — James 1:4 (KJV)

DEVOTION:
We often pray for God to make a way — and He will. But what if the real work isn’t just about the open door? What if it's about what’s happening in you while you wait for the door to open?

The waiting season is never wasted. It is holy ground where God shapes character, stretches faith, and teaches surrender. While you’re watching for the outcome, God is working on the inward man — refining your responses, testing your trust, and deepening your dependence.

James 1:4 reminds us that patience has a job — and its job is to make us whole. That means God isn’t just building the breakthrough — He’s building you for it, so that when it comes, you’re ready to carry it.

So today, take heart. You’re not stuck. You’re being shaped. And when the way opens, you’ll realize — the wait was never about the delay… it was about the development.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for what You’re doing in me while I wait. Help me to yield to Your process and grow in patience. Make me ready — not just for the promise, but for the weight of it. Amen.
